Hello from the Office of Admission! We're glad your students may be considering Carnegie Mellon, an internationally renowned university preparing students to imagine the unimaginable and ultimately change the world. At Carnegie Mellon, we teach students to focus on learning what matters. 
Every year, a growing number of highly talented students join the Carnegie Mellon community with the hope of enriching their academic, professional and personal pursuits. The Office of Admission is happy to help guide your students through every step of the application and financial aid process, and we hope you'll contact our office if you or your students have any questions along the way. Dates to Remember

• The application deadline for The School of Drama and The School of Music is December 1.
• The application deadline for regular decision is January 1. 
• The financial aid deadline is February 15 for regular decision. 
• The fall transfer application deadline is February 15.
• Fine Arts transfers follow regular decision freshmen application deadlines.

• We're an exclusive Common Application university. Review our Undergraduate Admission Requirements for more details on what's required as an applicant.
• When applying to Carnegie Mellon, students apply to one of seven of our specific colleges or programs. They can have a first and second choice. Read more about our programs here.
• We don't consider demonstrated interest in our admission process or accept supplemental materials from applicants. You can learn more about admission efforts to strive for access and equity here.
