In 1885, the University of Arizona was established as the state’s first university. Now 135 years later, we’re proud to be the best in Arizona. In the 2021 edition of its Best Colleges rankings, the U.S. News & World Report has named the University of Arizona as the top university in Arizona. Arizona was also named the No. 40 public university in the nation and No. 97 among all institutions.
From academics and research to an incredible campus and student life, Arizona offers your students one of the best college experiences available anywhere. At Arizona, students have access to a number of support resources including the Think Tank, the A Center for undecided majors, the SALT Center, and career guidance through Student Engagement and Career Development. In addition, the Student Success District has transformed the core of main campus with brand-new tech, wellness, and advising spaces. We have also made adjustments to account for COVID-19 disruptions. Students applying to the University of Arizona for the 2021-22 academic year are not required to submit SAT and/or ACT scores for admission or merit aid consideration. Merit scholarships for the 2021-22 academic year will be awarded based on students’ Core GPA as defined by the Arizona Board of Regents.
