Upcoming KU Deadlines & Reminders

Scholarship Hall Deadline March 1
KU's scholarship halls have a lower housing rate because students complete four to six hours of weekly duties, such as cooking or cleaning for the 50-person community. The priority deadline to apply for these on-campus housing options is March 1.

Financial Aid Notifications
KU has started to email students and parents about their KU financial aid. If students have questions, encourage them to email either their Financial Aid Counselor provided on their financial aid overview or email financialaid@ku.edu.
Spring Visits
Visiting campus is one of the best ways for students to get a feel for life as a Jayhawk. We offer options including Admitted Senior DaysJayhawk Days, and Junior Days. Additionally, Jayhawks will be hitting the road for our Rock Chalk Receptions. Click here to see if KU is in your area so you can promote the event to your students.
KACRAO Scholarship
Encourage your students to apply for the KACRAO Scholarship. There are four $500 awards available each academic year, which may be used at KACRAO member institutions. To be eligible, students must be a Kansas High School Senior, have a cumulative seventh semester GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, and submit an application, which includes uploading a one-page essay, letter of reference, and resume. The deadline to apply is March 15.

WILLAMETTE UNIVERSITY

Willamette University

Spring is in the air at Willamette. The sun is finally out, and students are taking full advantage of the warm weather.

Beyond climate-related news, we also wanted to share some updates that we hope you will find helpful as you finish working with this year's seniors and begin working with the upcoming Class of 2025 (hard to believe, we know).
  • Willamette is still accepting applications for Fall 2020.  There is no application fee, we are test-optional, and students are automatically considered for up to $27,000 in merit scholarships.

  • For students who have been admitted to Willamette, there are two exciting options for them to visit campus this spring: Bearcat Days for all admitted students and Access to Excellence (A2E), a fly-in program for students from underrepresented backgrounds or who are first in their families to attend college.

  • For juniors who are just beginning their college search, we are offering two Junior Preview Days for them to visit Willamette and learn more about the college application process.

  • Finally, the University recently received a $6 million gift to support our recently launched public health program.  We are excited to continue to find ways to innovate our curriculum to educate leaders in critical fields.
We hope you enjoy the beginning of spring, and we look forward to working with you during the remainder of this application cycle and well into the future.
Warmly,

Willamette Admission

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY

RamColorado State University
Learning by doing
Students cutting material for garments
Colorado State is known for getting students out of their seats and into the field. Between labs, research, service learning, for-credit internships, field trips, and studying abroad, "classes" take on a whole new meaning here.
Our students create costumes for the Colorado Ballet Academy. They run a restaurant. They cultivate poinsettias for a mass sale during the holidays. They use virtual reality to walk through their building designs. They develop plans for a mock Target store. They rouse thousands of fans during CSU athletic events.
They do. They learn.
Classes with impact
Three girls walking down Oval
Connections with kids
Each year, more than 300 CSU students from dozens of majors take the Campus Connections class to mentor local youths.
Student walking with horse
Homes for horses
Students in the Right Horse class train and rehabilitate rescue horses – up to 20 each semester – in an effort to find them new homes.
Scholarship deadline approaching
The Colorado State University Scholarship Application (CSUSA) is a one-stop shop for applying to most scholarships at CSU. The deadline is March 1. Thank you for encouraging your students to apply.
