BLACK & YELLOW DAY - FEB. 17 and APR. 17 High school juniors, seniors, and college transfers are invited to join us for Black and Yellow Day at Wichita State! This event will consist of a Shocker experience fair, interactive sessions, academic sessions, a campus tour, lunch at Shocker Hall dining, and a free t-shirt! Details and registration can be found at wichita.edu/visit.  CELEBRATING ADMITTED STUDENTS The Wichita State Office of Admissions is hosting a series of programs for Admitted Shockers across the region. During the programs, students will hear from an alumni speaker, receive important information about next steps toward enrollment at WSU and celebrate with other future Shockers! No matter where they are at in the decision process, this come-and-go event will help them move forward. Summer Gateway Program

Students who are denied admission or waitlisted are qualified to participate in the Summer Gateway Program. Successful completion of this program grants students full admission to Texas Tech for the fall semester. Learn more here.

USC BOVARD SCHOLARS

Dear Jan Kalb, The application window for the USC Bovard Scholars program will be closing soon. Applications are due January 17, 2020, at 5:00 pm PST. We strongly encourage high-achieving high school juniors with financial need to apply. Our application consists of an online application form and a counselor evaluation form. Now is the time for students to request a counselor evaluation form, to provide counselors time to complete the form prior to the deadline.  We are so excited for our fourth year of the USC Bovard Scholars program, helping another group of incredible students from across the country to dream big! If selected, each Bovard Scholar will have one full year of support through the admissions cycle and spend three weeks on the USC campus, where they will receive: Personalized career exploration Expert admission and financial aid support Comprehensive test preparation Leadership development This year, the program runs from July 12, 2020, through August 1, 2020. We offer the program at no cost to students or families. Dawg Bytes Highlights: Our First Year Application is officially CLOSED! Students who have applied can track their materials on the Application Portal. It's Quiet Time. With so many applications to review, our office has officially entered Quiet Time.  During this time we limit our engagements so we can focus on reading and reviewing prospective student applications. A friendly Senior Year Reminder. Senior year grades matter!  We will ask for a final transcript at the end of senior year and if we see a dip in grades or something else looks a little off, it could have an implication on our admissions decision.
