Texas Tech University

Texas Tech University
I wanted to bring you an update regarding Texas Tech University's policy regarding the SAT and ACT exams for students applying for fall 2021 admission. Since many tests were cancelled this spring, Texas Tech has enacted a test optional policy. At the time of application, students will select whether or not they want their application evaluated with an exam score. Students choosing not to submit a score will have their application evaluated in a holistic manner. Students are welcome, regardless of testing plan, to submit supplemental items which they feel best highlights their skills, talents, and potential contributions to Texas Tech. These could include essays, letters of recommendation and a resume. Ultimately, our goal is to provide access and opportunity to all students. The option is open to students who do not wish to share their scores and to students who were not able to sit for their scheduled test dates. Learn more below.

I will continue to provide you updates as necessary. In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact me if you or your students have any questions.
Go Tech!
