University of Tennessee

Our UT family includes more than 300,000 Vols worldwide, and we all share the common experience and appreciation for Volunteer spirit. Every year we welcome new Volunteers to our family—and we continue to accept applications for the Fall 2020 semester.

In order to give your students and families added time to make the best decision for them, we have extended our confirmation deadline for first year students entering in the Fall 2020 semester to June 1, 2020.

We know these are challenging times for many—especially for Volunteers transitioning from high school to college. To help answer your questions, we've curated an admissions-specific FAQ page for you to use as a reference and to pass along to students and parents. Please continue to visit this page as we will update it with the most recent information over the coming days.

Facebook LIVE Q&A: Orientation, Housing, and more!
Last night we hosted a special Facebook Live Q&A just for admitted students to answer questions about housing, orientation, and important admissions updates. If you couldn't tune in, you can watch the recap video here! We're still answering questions, so please encourage your students to post questions in the comments.

Summer Classes Moved Online

In an effort to keep our Volunteer family safe and healthy, UT made the difficult decision to move all summer classes online. You can read Chancellor Donde Plowman's message to our community here.
